LUCK O’ THE IRISH RBFFG CELEBRATION!

On march 15th over 30 of our members, gathered at Burnt Shirt bistro and tasting room in Chimney Rock for a pleasurable evening of good people, good food, good entertainment and good wine for those participating in the wine tasting!

The staff at Burnt Shirt was busy and attentive to the members and kept the glasses full buffet hot and full of scrumptious choices with  Irish flavors featuring, Shepard’s pie, corn beef and cabbage, potatoes and a super salad buffet topped of with two sweet desert choices.

Crystal Morrison, the new President welcomed the members at 6PM, offered the invocation, thus opening the buffet described.  She recognized Lynn Chapman, entertainment, Dick McCallum, communications, Linda Jowers, reservations and adviser, past Prez, Randy Snyder for their help.

The Carpenter School of Irish Dance brought their 16 dancers, including a four and five year old “hoofer” and wowed the crowd for an hour with dances with an high kicking Irish dance style!  The crowd responded with a cacophony of applause and  a lot of flashed from their cameras kept busy!

Good friend, Tom Brown, the one man band surrounded the evening with music before and after the dancers during the evening.

Finally, it was announced that we are busy planning a June 1st event at the Lake Lure Inn with a “Welcome to a Lake Lure Friends summer” with the wish of a lot more attendees as too many attendees missed the celebration on March 15th!
